If you're new to houseplants or just want to find something simple for your home, here's a list of some of the easiest houseplants! I've gone through my fair share of plants and have realized that some are easier than others. I've also killed quite a few... but we're all learning, right? Nobody's perfect so if you actually kill one of these, I'm not judging! I accidentally killed one of my cacti... which is supposed to be an indestructible plant. Needless to say, if you struggle to care for any of these, don't give up!
1. Devil's Ivy
This is a great plant for indoor or outdoor! As a houseplant, you can hang it up anywhere in a room that receives bright light. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soaking wet. Just be careful what you place it in because it's a fast grower and tends to grow on whatever is near.
2. Heart Leaf
Similar to Devil's Ivy, place it in a room that receives bright light. This plant is able to grow in even the darkest conditions but I recommend finding the brightest room for best growth. Keep in mind it is also a fast grower but a beautiful hanging plant!
3. Air Plant
Simple summary: little to no maintenance. These guys require no soil and only need a light misting every week. You can keep them in any display and they won't die! Even if you've got a black thumb, you won't kill this plant.
If you're looking for a plant to go on your window sill, this is the one for you! There are so many different kinds that require little water and indirect bright light. This one is Haworthia Fasciata. You can even find ones that are clear, like Retusa!
If you're the type to travel frequently, I highly recommend having cacti for houseplants! These guys thrive on neglect and are the epitome of 0 maintenance. I have a Ruby Ball Cactus and I'm telling you, I've watered it maybe 3 times in the last 2 years of owning it.
If there are any plants you'd like to see on my blog, let me know!
